Let’s Take A Walk

Walking is a great exercise for weight loss and staying fit.  It’s a light workout, uncomplicated, easy, and- most importantly- free!

Walking burns over 200 calories or more depending on the duration of your walk. When taking walks, breathing rate increases, this improves the energy level of the body. Walking also serves as a defense against heart diseases and high blood pressure. As a whole, it toughens the heart for healthy blood circulation.  Aside from it being a great weight loss exercise, it is also known to help improve your overall well being.

A research presented at the European Society of Cardiology recommended that a 20-minute walk daily could add three to seven years to your life. Another study suggested that taking a 30-minute walk every day reduces hip fractures by 40 percent; it also reduces the risks of osteoporosis.

Skip the talk. Take a walk.
